Hose Testing & Assembly
Hose testing and certification is core to what Abdex does. Whether you need a graphed, data-logged certificate from our NATA accredited high pressure test rig or a DNV witnessed test, we can meet the requirement.
Testing and certification
Hydrostatic testing is NATA accredited to 4,000 bar. Where cleanliness matters, such as air breathing or pharmaceutical assemblies, we can test with breathing quality air rather than fluid.
For offshore and subsea work we flush to cleanliness levels defined in NAS 1638 or ISO 4406.
Hose assembly
We crimp up to 10 inch industrial hose and 2 inch 10,000 psi well intervention hose, on Uniflex machines that are PLC controlled and date logged.
Abdex operates the only Parker Black Eagle certified workshop in Asia Pacific, assembling and testing the range from stock. We are also approved to assemble and supply the Gates Black Gold oilfield range, including BOP and cementing assemblies.
Hose bundling and Hydraulic Flying Leads are built to API17E or ISO 13628-5, with DNV-GL approved assemblies for marine and oil and gas. See umbilical hose for the full range.
Inspection and recertification
We inspect and recertify hoses to the manufacturer’s guidelines, covering external inspection and repair as well as internal borescope inspection.
Onsite services
We crimp and test onsite. Our qualified hose technicians carry out inspections and audits on all types of hydraulic equipment, anywhere in Australia and at short notice.
